I built a very humble system (about 214W *total*) that was designed more for looks than gut-wrenching bass. I used kick panels to locate speakers in the front wheel wells and built a box to fit the contours of the rear luggage area. Amps were placed on the front of the box with the single sub firing through the seat itself. A remote CD changer sits where the battery used to be (relocated to spare tire well).
A couple of pics of the box are on my site.

Well i guess im not wanting gut wrenching bass either lol, thats why im putting in 1 10" sub. but will i have to worry about popping out the rear window? I dont drive with the windows up- too hott!
But would like to be heard in the next car heheheh, the speakers are all JBL.and i was thinking of putting in an MTX 5ch amp the 5th ch is for sub only.

I pretty much have to crank mine up to be heard a car or two away, since my exhaust is so damn loud
A single 10" sub will perform admirably and certainly will keep your rear window seals intact. A single 10" sub will also leave you more room behind the seat for luggage. I currently have two 5" wide cubbyholes on either side of my box, for tools, small valuable items, etc.

Ok I put arear shelf in and mounted the 2 jbl 6x9's and the 10" will sit under the shelf, Im sending back the sherwood head unit ,due to its eating cassette tapes & replacing it with a pioneer cd player.
I will be useing 1 amp to drive the speakers
do i need to install another battery?

First off, you can't go wrong with the MTX 5 channel amp. I have been running the MTX-5400x five channel amp in my Trans Am convertible for quite some time now. It has all the power I could ever ask for and comes with bench test result like I stated in your other thread about actual power outputs. It also offers the EBC (external bass control) feature which is a small sub-woofer volume control that you mount up within reach. Very nice amps!
As for your speaker locations, the box box in the rear luggage area is fine. Depending on how much time you care to spend (or money you care to pay someone else to do the work), you can do some different things. I do all of my own work, so I typically go the extra mile to make sure the final result is clean and unique.
If you install the 6x9's in a rear shelf and then have the 10" box under it, you could (but not definitely) run into some problems of the sub throwing your6x9's off. You need to have some kind of baffle between them to keep this from happening. Furthermore, if you go to put the rear seat down to get more out of your sub, you will lose some of the sound out of your 6x9's due to the loss of your seats baffleing effect.
If I was going to do this setup similar to the one you mentioned, I would build a single box that would hold the 6x9's facing up and the 10" either facing forward or down. Each driver would have its own seperate enclosure to protect it from the effects of the other speakers. At the same time, you should be able to have plenty of space for little cubby holes for hiding stuff.
Think it out for a little while and then build it. I have done way to many systems for people (in the way they wanted it) who thought of other stuff after the fact. Just my 2¢.
