facet electric pump
Does the facet electric fuel pump supply enough gas to run dual Weber 40mm IDF carberators?

Sure it will, the stock pump will supply enough too. Bigger carbs don't really equate to more gas being used, just to more AIR being passed through and more efficient mixing with the fuel. A car running duals will get about the same (often better) mileage than a car with the stock carb. That means they're pulling the same or less gas to run.
My bug got about 10 mpg when I got it with a stock setup - the pump had no problem keeping up. The electric pump has one advantage over the stock mechanical unit - constant pressure. Webers like to have a constant fuel pressure or they tend to overflow. You may want to get a pressure regulator.

I have no problems with mine. There are two "styles" of the facet pumps. One is a low output 1.5-4 lbs, the other is like 15 lbs. You want the low output pump.
I mounted mine up front on the bulk head opposite the master cylinder because this type of pump is a "pusher" not a "puller." Take advantage of the threaded inlets on the pump and get one of the fuel filters that screw in to the inlet side.
I run mine through the stock line through the tunnel and then to a distribution block that has another filter on the inlet side, pressure regulator, pressure guage, and then the outlets to each carb. This whole unit is mounted up high on the "firewall" and the fuel lines to the right side carb runs behind the shroud. It really cleans up the engine bay a lot.
I kept my mechanical pump installed just in case (so much for the cleaned up engine bay, I know). I just have a piece of fuel hose coiled up connecting the inlet and outlet of the pump. I figure if something catastrophic happens to the electrical unit all it will take is a quick fuel line swap up front and in the rear and I'll be on my way again.

I TRIED ONE OF THOES PUMPS AND IT WOULDNT FEED MY 44 IDF'S BUT THEY ALSO HAVE BEEN JETTED FOR A 2165CC WITH 10.86 COMP ON THE STREET SO I WENT TO A CARTER PUMP FROM SUMMIT RACING IT FLOWS 72 GPH AT 5 PSI AND A HOLLEY ADJ REG. THE PUMP IS ONLY 53.00 AND SUPPLIES MORE THAN ENOUGH FUEL BUT THATS JUSTY MY EXPERIENCE..
