On the 72 Ghia's, do they have the metal cover at the back up the truck that shields the wires and all from out in the truck. The one that's here at the shop doesn't have one, but I didn't know if that was a custom thing or just on older models. I'm trying to find one for it but I have no idea what it it called. Any help would be great!
Thanks, Cody

Re: Questions on a 72
Hi CodyM,
Unless my memory is failing me, the '72 came with a die-cut gray cardboard trunk "liner" of which one flap end covered the electronics.
There were aftermarket Bug and Ghia plastic wiring shields that could be tucked into place. I don't recall ever seeing a metal cover.
Anyone else with better info?

All I recall seeing is the cardboard'ish liner;

Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.
