 I hate UPS I hate UPS I hate UPS Looks like I won't be getting the 2 day delivery service that I paid for.
I did get the tie rods cut done and installed. Torqued the rear axle nuts and made a crude wrench to check the oil in the redux boxes with.
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

The bearings got here at about 6 pm they were already out on the truck so I couldn't go pick them up. Looks like it will be a late nite. I have the new races pressed into the drums. We made a spacer for the steering column this morning at the machine shop so the horn and turn signal canceling will work with a 74ish VW steering wheel. I got the ALT installed and re-wired. Put the steering column back in. Tightened the rear axle nuts and adjusted the rear brakes. Had to make a wrench to check the reduxes. OK I am going back to work now.

David - the car is really coming together now! You have come a long way, and it shows it. I have confidence in you to beat this deadline. 8)

Today isn't starting out like I planned MAJOR set back. To start off I go out to the truck and all I see is the dome light on. You know the rest of the story....................click click click..............So I wait a hour for my neighbor to wake up so I can get him to jump the truck off. So I get to the shop at 7. I set up some strings to check the toe and get under the car to loosen the spring plate bolts that I had slotted to start adjusting the toe. The right side is way off and guess what no adjustment left to toe it in. So now I have to remove the spring plate to slot it more.

Got the rear toe set for now the left spring plate needs to be slotted more too. But the rear tow is close enough. Got a Lexan windshield installed. Getting closer to being done.
