Thing inline fuse wiring question

Post by mentalQtip »

'74 thing. I finally got an engine in but am confused by a couple of wires. Specifically, the wire that comes in through one of the two holes on the right of the firewall. The left hole has three large groups of cables and the right one has this little one that ends with an inline fuse and then a push on ending. Where does this go? Following that wire forward it meets up with a black wire with diagonal (green?) stripes and then goes through the firewall. On the other end are the same two wires with push on clips and none of these are connected anywhere?
Any pictures of where these all go?

Thanks

This is a type 1 wiring diagram but I think it is the same. Follow the blue back up light wire it changes color and goes to the back up light switch on the tranny. Put power to it and see if the back up lights light up.

Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

There is a wiring diagram and some clarification diagrams for the Thing over at the Samba.

Delayed response. I got it figured out and plugged into the right places. Had to really clean the bulb sockets tho. Now I have backup lights. Learned a bit on the way.

THanks
