411 or 412 best?

I have to agree. The headlight cutouts on the front give the car a more characteristic look to it. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who finds the 411 quirky but desirable.

I like the 411 best the headlights add something to it. i kinda like the Standards version with the one piece lens..but then again i like the dual headlight system.

There seems to be a definite split between those who like the 411 and those who like the 412.

I too prefer the 411's , sadly the stickshift models were not smog leagal in California so we have to make do with the slushboxes except for the odd 49 state car , tourist delivery , ex-serviceman's csar and such .
Most V.W. enthusiasts have never even driven one , when you put them behind the wheel , it tends to make another believer immediately .

TYP IV's are _great_ driver's , good for cross country work etc.
