Where are you located? Is the car a sedan or wagon? Two door or four door?

weren't all the 411's sedan models?

The 412 was the wagon, and wasn't it only a 2-door?

Nope, the 411 and 412 were both available in 2-door or 4-door sedans, and the Variants (station wagons) were only available in 2-door form. I believe a prototype 4-door Variant was also built by VWAG, but why it was dropped is a mystery.

If you look hard enough...you will also find some other wierd variants. The actual #'s were something like the 465 and 466. They had a big hump in the roof over the engine compartment in thewagon. The opton was a jump seat over the rear engine lid for a smallish adult. Saw this in a factory parts manual. Ray
