Bonjour to you type 4 Gurus,
While looking for a 1600 dp case for my 1915 to be (for my 72 convertible type 1), i ran through an engine for $300.00 cdn(around $200 us). The gentlemen said it was comming out of a 1975vw "station wagon" fuel injection...
What displacement is it and what are the options performance wise? l want something reliable that can kick local ricers asses...

Can you provide an engine number? Like EC, ED, AW? The 412 was only sold through `74 in the US; VW referred to the bus as a station wagon in some advertising literature so who knows what he means by the term?

Though the type 4 was actually only sold through 74, if it was late...like july or august of 74...and delivereed late...it may have been listed as a 75. If so, it would most probably be an EB series L-jet injected 1.8L. But its true...the bus is more often listed as a station wagon in Europe. The 412 wagon more often as a type 4 variant...or 412 variant. Ray
