Flywheel vs Torque plate

Post by 50 Baja »

I recently bought a used 412 1.7 from an automatic. It still has the torque plate attatched. I want to put it in a standard 411.

Are there any differences in the crankshaft end? Do I just do a straight swap?

Thanks

Its a straight swap. Be sure you check the depth of the recess for the crank seal. I have found some that use the 2mm deeper vanagon seal from the factory. If you don't get the right seal, you will get an ugly intermittant leak. Save the flexplate. They are not getting any easier to find.Ray
