I would like to rebuild the front end of my 412 completely. It is in my garage for the winter. Though it tracks pretty straight down the road, I have a lot of play in the front steering and shock absorbers are not adequate and some shimmy.
Dose anyone know if any parts are availabe?
Were any of these parts used in other VWs like vans?
Has anyone used other parts for replacements from other vehicles?
Wheel bearings inner and outer and oil seal
Steering box new or rebuilt and seel
Tie rod ends for left and right--straight and cranked and boots
Center tie rod
Steering dampener
Idler arm bracket rubber bushing
Ball joints right and left
struts or strut shock
If anyone has done tierod work and or steering box work and has any helpfull hints please post.
