Hey all,
I'm looking at a A1 Sidewinder for my WBX, but I haven't seen one in person. Is there any reason (other than the rear head flanges - I could just swap the J-pipes from 1 side to the other right) the systems wouldn't clear the front pulley / waterpump for my Ghia?

dorigtt, you will need to turn the flanges for cyls 4 & 1, i cant say either way if it will clear the water pump, it may hit the 'stat housing on early pumps , or the pulley on later ones. Steve, with a bus install , with all his experience with the vanagons, 10c will be the man to know if it will clear the engine support bar or not, he may chime in later.

If the 1 and 4 pipes are slip-in, I can just swap them correct?

I had a sidewinder style header made by a specialist.
