Go find some loose gravel and big-leg the brake pedal at 10-15 MPH, then get out and look at the tracks - they should all be the same length. I did not install new drums and I did not have the drums turned. I have gotten by by doing this in the past with good results. I think it has something to do with the semi-metallic shoes.Marc wrote:From your description you're running mostly on rear brakes.

I deliberately made the brakes drag by putting my left foot on the brake pedal while accelerating with the right foot.
That helped brake in the shoes.
It stops almost perfect now.
