Bought a Weber 2bbl progressive carb today and was wondering if I need to take the engine out to install it?

Carb Install Question

Yes, you have to take the engine out and change the camshaft which means disassembling the entire engine. Just kidding, no you do not have to take the engine out at all, just replace the center section of the intake manifold and bolt it on. =D

Carb Install Question

Easier said than done..... There is a flange that sticks up and hits the generator stand. Was easier to pull it than fight with the darn thing. It's on the floor in the garage now. Gonna try and sell my ghia w/o motor now or part it out and just junk the rest.
Motor is going in my 66 sundial, after a new exhast and maybe a rebuilt to a 1641. It's a 73 ghia, good tranny and brakes, pan is shot though and body has several dents, nose is straight though.
