72 SB Decided to do chop top
Hey members it's been a long time since I posted anything , Last time I did I wasn't to sure about the build I wanted to do , but since then I have been working on my idea and decided to just go chop top rat look . This is the first time I have ever adventured in chopping a top so it took me a week to get the nerve up . I did my own version of an Ed Capella chop. 4 inch front , 3 inch back . After a few good weld I had to set it on the wheels and get a look. I still have more welding to do in order to finish the doors and pillars , but heres the results so far.

Chop is looking pretty good, what are you doing with the suspension and about the rear apron.

I've always wondered, what do you do for glass for a chop? Trying to cut the stock stuff yourself, I think, would be impossible for the tempered glass and tough to say the least for the windshield.

Rear apron is already on and attached , as far as glass a buddy of mine owns his own glass company , only thing that may become an issue of cost might be the side glass due to size , front may run about 50 dollars . After talking to a relative this past week I have a chassis on the way with mustang front suspension and a ford 9in set up , According to him it should tuck nicely in the body and still look like the picture shown , just sit alot lower .
