Although purist hate this idea. Most of us work with what we have. especially once you've past the point of no return. theoretically I could have stripped the car and returned it to orginal specs, sold it, and purchased a true 6V. I do not think most nubees take this approach. This choice would have been more plausible about two years ago before I passed the point of no return. For all those nubees out there have a realistic goal of where you want to be in Five years and what your finances are. Yes it would have been cheaper and easier to trade her in at the year one mark for a true 6V ragtop however at that time she was my only means of transportation and things slowly got out of hand. In the end I will be proud of my little frankenstein. 84 mexican body, 74 IRS pan, 2110 w/ quick tune, and gilmore a/c.

After nearly three years and a tour of duty in Greece Frankenstein is finally coming out of the body shop. Ordered the Watson wireworks kit to re-wire everything and get rid of 20+ years of bad wires. Also just ordered the new CB quicktune EFI kit for the 2110 with crank trigger. Hope to post some pics of the engine soon.

Small update:
After fighting with the Watson kit for nearly a year I gave up and ordered a factory correct wiring harness for Pierside that I hope to be complete this week. The car has been in pieces for nearly five years and on more than one occasion I nearly through in the towel. I hope to have the running soon with the stock 1500 while I finish rebuilding the 2110 and installing the quicktune EFI.

How do you like the A/C? Can you take some better pics of the evaporator?
