Post by weldvair »

Who is the best co. to talk to about buying a 1971 convertible KG top. My glass
window is missing so I need one w/a plastic rear window.

I know very little about tops thus, I need educated.

...should be able to confirm that your plan is viable, or steer you to a glass window if that's the only solution - never tried it m'self (I've seen the glass bring $400 so I hope for your sake that the earlier top will fit)

I talked to Chucks & their vinyl top is $790......it includes pads, cables & rubber weatherstrips.

For the experts - is this about what you would expect to pay? is there a cheaper place to order
from?

Thanks Don

Just for the heck of it you might try robbinsautotopco.com I have had good luck with their units in the past, though I haven't done a 'vert in several years.
