It should be no problem finding a red ghia, I would venture to say there are more of them now that are red than any other color (even if they didn't all start out that way)

B.T.W. What's happened to Erick? Haven't seen a Wine Country Ghia post in a while.

I think it is porsche guards red. To fill the holes, they are just welded up and smoothed. Personally I don't like it as well w/out the chrome, but it used to be my sisters car so what I think did'nt matter.
We use the ghia to tow the hill climb car up pikes peak every year...

68 this has been covered extensively, but since I just very recently was finally able grasp it I'll see if I can't help...
1)The desired photo must already exist somewhere on the internet besides here because this site doesn't host photos.
2)So upload said photo to a site that can host it for you, these are many. I use thesamba.com for this site because as long as it's VW related nobody seems to mind.
3)Now your picture is on the samba and you are looking at it. Right click on it and you will see "propeties" at the very bottom or the window, click on this.
4) A box will open, in it you will see a address begining w/ http...Highlight this address completely and right click and select "copy"
5)Inside the posting reply window type:
6) It should look like this...
[ING]httpyourpicture.com[/ING] but w/ M's not N's
When you submit the post the picture should appear, if not, well we'll cross that bridge...
Give it a try, if you don't have a pic to upload, just use one from the samba.
Hope that helps, took long enough to type.

You are missing the [/img] at the end , but I tried it and it didn't work. My picture addresses never have so much jibba jabba in them like that, try another pic.

Yes, you needed to drop the ".thumb" and add [/ img] without the space)

I also did a writeup on this a while ago for the Karmann Ghia and Type1 forums, maybe it's time to bring it to the top?!

Maybe this will help someone: http://shoptalkforums.com/bbs/NonCGI/Fo ... 00277.html
