Jaycee spring plate retainers

Post by 4agedub »

I ordered a set of Jaycee spring plate retainers from CBP. Got them with my last shipment... but they are too big.
Is there a difference on the torsion bars from early to late? Mine is late model, but they are about 2mm smaller than the Jaycee bushes inside retainer.

Do you have aftermarket spring plates? From the comments here: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewto ... ?p=7542622 you'd need Sway-a-way spring plates or at least a spring plate with exactly 1.875" OD.

I have stock spring plates. The jaycee retainers are machined for 2" I think... will have to check again.
