clutch woe's

Post by stanthedog »

Brand new flywheel(did not check distance on clutch to pp), new kennedy pp, new porsche style cushlock clutch, all new stuff. clutch slip's some in 3rd, alot in 4th. I'm going to pull the engine probably within a few days and start checking things. So, what's the distance supposed to be from clutch to pp mounting surface?
Engine is a 2074cc in a 72 ghia.

On an additional note, I've had the engine out a number of times chasing gremlins out. one was vac leaks because I couldn't get a socket on the intake nuts. tried the 12mm nuts(which I have now) couldn't find 10mm flanged. So, I made a set of flanged 9mm nuts from 44 rockwell 4340. Gonna put them on during this gremlin chasing session.
