A friend of mine upgraded to 1.4 rocker shafts and gave me is 1.25 rockers. So, I bought the lash caps and mounted them to play with geometry and noticed they touch the lash on one side. I took the rockers out and it has some wear on them. On each one it has about 1/8" that looks untouched. Now I think I won't use them because of the issue.
I don't think it's repairable. If so, let me know.
This is one rocker shaft:

The hard part is taking down the high spot while maintaining the curvature of the pad. Any machine shop that does valve-grinding work should have a attachment for their bench machine which makes this relatively simple. If you must try doing it yourself, build a fixture that'll hold an old rocker shaft horizontal which can be bolted to the table of your drill press, then chuck in a sanding disk. By controlling the pivoting movement of the rocker with one hand while you stroke the drill press with the other you can approximate the action of the professional machine.
Why take a chance of tearing up your valve stems when you can get a new set of Scat 1.25 rocker arms for 99.00.
They are worn out and I would toss them in the nearest metal recycling bin.
That tool would cost the same and you still have to do the work. Unless you want to go in the business of fixing worn rockers.........But you still have the shaft wear to work out too.
