that dipstick tube wouldn't read real well

Is that because it is a stock T-1 dipstick tube pulled from a block and there is a 1.25" hole in the back side or have you done research on this? Thanks Dave T

can't see a hole at all on the flat side or does
it mount from the other side and is that flat as well
