Hey guys. Finally getting around to finishing up my 1600 dual port turbo and figured I'd ask what others are running for jetting. Finally got it running today and it seems a bit on the fat side when I Rev it up and sputters a bit. Black smoke is also coming out of the exhaust when I Rev it up.
I do still have to adjust the idle/air mixture as well.
Thanks!

I have not read of any running that combination on STF.....at least not while I have been following.
I started out my build with a single Weber 44 but I switched to a Bocar 34 pict 3 due to the Weber not fitting under my body without cutting it.
With my two years experience with blow through carb........the best thing you could ever do is invest in an O2 sensor with gauge.
There are many on the market but my preference is the PLX due to packaging and performance.
The price is very good at $189.00 for the Gen 4 model.

I have the Gen 3 installed and really like it.

This will tell you instantly what your engine is doing and you can rejet accordingly instead of guessing.
The hardest part is getting enough fuel at full boost while having a decent cruise AFR.
After many months I found the best way to get fuel at full boost was to make sure the fuel bowl was boost referenced with a hose sticking up into the top hat.
When I added a hose onto my Bocar Carb I went all the way back from a 170 main to a 130 main and I was still rich.
I would start out getting your idle mixture set along with the throttle plate and low speed jetting. once that is done you can progress to your main jets and emulsion tubes.
You need to get it to idle cleanly so it isn't loaded up with fuel when you take off.
Post some pics of the build and turbo setup so we can see what you have.
We all love turbo builds..........
