Oldies and Goodies

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Oldies and Goodies

Post by Leatherneck »

Hey guys I was going through my Photobucket which I haven't used in awhile, found this one and thought good idea for a thread. Post up a old pic or thread you liked or helped you.

BTW, thanks Scott!

Lets see what you come up with.

Here I am broken down after getting the Vanagon back on the road with charging issues fixed by replacking a bad alternator

Image
after getting the Vanagon back on the road I failed inspection for front brake rotors (rotted and warped) in order to get said bad rotor off my father and I spent a while hammering trying to get them off and eventually had to get this large 17 ton drum and rotor puller to get the disc over the hub where it had rusted in place.

Leatherneck, just a shelf of Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Ferrari, etc parts!

My son bought some tires from Tire rack and this was at the shop that mounted them...

2016 cotton harvest, the largest crop ever grown on my dad's farm which he purchased in 1947 after getting out of the Navy. In the background you can see the large modules of cotton.

Yeah this time we do the strip at night

As far as something that helped me....This weekend meant the world to me as I was in need of a reason to smile after just losing my mom 6 weeks earlier.
