replaced head..missing stud...

hi...

one of my spark plugs had popped out. After inspecting I found the thread had stripped. I pulled the engine and swapped the head with a spare I had.

Anyway...foolishly I didn't notice a missing exhaust stud until the engine was back in and I was putting on the heat exchanger. But it wasn't screwing in...grrr. So...next job will be to helicoil it.

in the mean time. I put everything back together. Started it up and it ran like a pig. Won't hold idle and chokes up and farts when pressing the gas. Sounds like it's running on 3 cylinders.

Would the leaking exhaust port have such an effect?
