Glass Mat Battery for Type 1 beetle?

What size/group glass matt battery can I get for a 1973 beetle?
I found that a 96R Duralast battery has the same dimensions as a group 42 battery which is the original size for an aircooled Beetle.
I don't mind paying a little more for the 96R battery but, I would rather have a glass matt battery since, it resists vibration better.
Does a glass matt battery need a special battery charger?

I think I will get the Duralast 96R battery from Auto Zone.

I believe the the terminals are flipped on the 96R vs 42 so you may need longer battery cables.
