Guys,
I am using a CB under the apron header, and will be using (making) a extension to put the turbo up in the engine compartment beside the Holley Carb (draw thru). What would be the ideal size of pipe to use for the extension? I do not want to choke off the engine, but I do know the larger the pipe the less the charge.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
Header extension OD size?

When I did mine I just made it the size of the header flange.

Engine is a 2110, ponchito heads with a CB2242 camshaft. 8-4-1 cr, and will use a Holley 600 4B. I am pretty sure the header is a 1 5/8", and the turbo is a T3/T4
I have not measured the header flange, but I would assume it is maybe 1 3/4, I will check.

How big is the hole going into the turbo? They usually neck down super fast once it hits the turbo. I'd find the smallest pipe that fits the flange and run that.Blownbug wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 6:06 am Guys,

I would run whatever the inlet of the turbo is.....Mine is 1 7/8ths inch inside diameter so I run a 2 inch tube that matches it.
