Recaulking Centerlines
So I had a rim that was a slow leaker, first guess on centerlines is faulty/old caulk. Went and bought some 100% silicone and tore the tire down. Cleaned it up real good, all the old stuff out and wiped it down good then wire brushed it. First line I just wanted to get it down in the crack then once smithed put another thin layer, three all together and all smoothed up. Once dry I reinstalled the tire and holding air for several days now.

I used Zep Fast Gasket high dollar black silicone. They hold air perfectly. Centerline used 1970s aquarium sealant originally. Mine don't leak at all now.

What is the diff in 100% silicone. Saw some for $6 and some for $8, bought the 8 just because. Same manufacturer one had a higher number them the other. Couldn’t see why though.
Zoe makes some good chemicals.

Our local hardware sells it for about 4 dollars.
I use urethane based sealants for brick to window joints. It expands a bit more. VULCHEM is the brand name.it would probably work on wheels too and comes in several exciting colors.

Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.

Never thought about using a flexible caulk.
