What oil pump are you running? Where is your oil returning from the turbo at? I scanned through your thread but didn’t see any specifics on that stuff. Sorry for asking if you posted it.

i am using a schadek 26mm early t1 pump (8mm studs) with a plugged output hole, I also plug the case ... just like a T1
I have made a flange that bolts up to the oil filter boss that feeds oil back in where it would normally go. so there is a -10 oil hose that feeds oil there

Hello everyone,
I have dumped most of the missing pictures from this build thread into a public album for everyone to be able to access them:

Heyo ... Yes I am still around, I have moved to Toronto now though

I built the 2.5L turbo T4 as an upgrade for the ghia along with a built 091 trans, but the ghia has been running flawlessly for the past 5 years so I haven't needed to do anything to it.

So I am building a whole other car around the 2.5 turbo (its a 912), so the 2.5 isn't running yet :(
Fun pics of that build here:

here is one of my fav beauty shots of it from last season ....
Funny story about this pic, it was at a meet at the Porsche dealership, I was the only vw crashing it.
I have a a watercooling system to keep the turbo cool and I had overfilled it before the meet. You can see the puddle of glycol under my tailpipe ... I was embarrassed by that

As I've told Lanner many times as I drooled over his 912, the 912 is a bucket list car for me. I doubt I'll ever have one...so I build Super Beetles.

I my opinion, you built the nicest Cali conversion I've ever seen. Is that what you'll do for the 912?

I need a like button on here. Glad to see the old girl is still running well. One of these days I’ll get started on a swap. I’ll need a VW again first

I do have plans to put a cali conversion in the 912, I have already built most of it.
Now I am trying to figure out the clutch setup with the type 4 and the 915 transmission, Type 4 has a push throw out bearing and the 915 has a pull throw out bearing ... trying to convert pull to push

Paging Wally.... Wally?
(he's traversed the 915 trans with t4 engine rabbithole so could advise)

From memory he cut the 914 flywheel to 228mm (nee 225) he had options as to push or pull pressure plates.
(don't recall which way it ended up. Bell housing needed shortened as well., )
Later went dual friction discs ~same plate.

Tried finding the appropriate threads... he was around 450hp and switched to the billet heads, but that was after the transmission upgrade.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Well, ended up with the G50 😉
Good recall Pile!

With the 915 I did it the easy way: ordered the (Kennedy) 915 -> type 4 adapter flywheel, so you can you the stock (alu!) 915 pressure plate and 225mm disk.
With the 915 adapter flywheel the ring gear is on the pressure plate, the flywheel is therefore without starter ring!
