Show of hands- who runs without axle circlips?

I've run with none out of neccessity, now i have them only on the stub axle side. logic being if they do slide far one way, i'd rather they pound the stub then put a hole in the trans seal cap and fill my expensive CV with tranny fluid.

I've got a set or two with pockets miilled in them, but a lot of the replacement ones i got were too hard to machine and I couldn't do anything with them. maybe a better machinest could pocket em, but I for sure couldn't
