Thanks for the link, used the Boost Advisor and just so happens the hot side of the T3 is correct, pretty damn close what a new Garrett GT2860RS 836026-5013S has.

The T3 cold side inducer is 10mm too small, but the exducer is still 60mm even on the new GT . Has anyone simply machined out the housing to match a new compressor wheel inducer size, there's plenty of material? Have any in-site on buying a T4 cold side? The 0000 size bushings I got off of ebay fit the turbo shaft with assembly lube perfectly. I know it will support 300hp...… way beyond my goals now, have to at least accomplish the link below. I don't think this car is boosted , there's 2nd and 3rd too . My transmission, very late single side cover transmission which has bus 091 parts sprinkled in it from VW, and 944 100mm shafts and CVs, Weddle 100mm axle cups Bring on the boost!!

If I remember it's a 1776,with a quaife tbd fitted. You should be able to do it easy with your engine + boost

Thanks all for the advise and input; definitely helped me. I picked up a good TD04L and going to move forward with that.

Good luck man. I hope it works for you. I almost feel like the TD04 on my stock 1600 is a little small. Or maybe just right. On a 2+ litre.... I don't know. Maybe for me it's because I'm running a 4.37 r&p?
Seems like I start boosting around 2500 rpm, 10 psi at 3500, and 20 psi at 4500. Hard for me to say exactly because I don't think I've actually made a real full throttle pull yet. Ive been full throttle, but haven't done a floor it, shift, floor it type run yet. Usually I roll into it I guess. Looking at my logs it seems like I'm usually at more like 60%-65% throttle.

You know it does seem a little small, I just figured new tech and recommended ; I'm used to thinking about Garett and KKK and Borg old turbos with big hot sides like a Porsche 930 turbo for a 3.3L . I have to drop in to this with something and it seem the Mitsubishi turbos are affordable and make the power.

I still have a long way to go. The new heads are coming out at 7.9:1 comp ratio. Bigger deck is better to control pre ignition from what I've been reading and told with turbo.

What's your cam? Cams are the magic pixie dust in performance. I'm not saying I'm a cam expert, but just wondering.

Whatever they put in it in Germany! My engine is dead stock 1600. Only thing I did was put some used single HD valve springs in it.
