About the same as on my subbie turbo 1641!

Better to be blown than to suck!

That was 10psi. 3rd gear pull chassis dyno wheel hp.
Remember this ain't no stock engine..
It's all in my build thread.

Re: CB Hideaway and Junkyard Turbo
I’ve just dug out my Dyno sheet from 2013.... looking again, with the benefit of more knowledge, I think there is certainly more to extract from this engine.....
- The boost control could be improved..... especially now that I have a new Turbosmart WG38 repositioned to the collector.
- It looks pretty asthmatic, with the torque dropping as though it’s been strangled after 4500rpm (I’m running a TCS10 cam with 1.1:1 rockers. I would change the cam in a heartbeat if I didn’t have to split the case in order to change it..... switching to 1.25:1 rockers could help and the match porting and polishing of the turbo housings will probably help a little too).
What I know now that I didn’t know back then is that it’s all about good, unrestricted flow through the engine.
I don’t plan to develop this engine much more..... maybe add some 1.25 rockers, some water meth injection and give the inlet path a good port and polish..... Then I’ll just enjoy what it gives me..............
......... Whilst I start building the 2.1 wbx engine I have sitting at the back of my garage. (A project is never finished!)

Looks good to me! I'd be stoked to get 200 hp!
And I know what you mean. When I put mine together I bought those big beef manifolds and didn't touch them. Now with the plenums welded on I can't get to it well enough to ever open them up. I would just about have to start over with it. What a dummy!

Re: CB Hideaway and Junkyard Turbo
Luckily, I did hog out and port match my end castings.... I just didn’t pay much attention to the final finish of the surfaces..... I left them quite rough and pitted, whereas I should have made them smooth and shiny before the injectors and slightly rougher after the injectors to help air / fuel mix...... the smooth surface helps with flow and air speed (in my opinion).buguy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 1:50 pm Looks good to me! I guess it's nothing a couple more psi of boost wouldn't overcome.
