I assumed the hp you posted of 189 was wheel hp....If not then I need to adjust my numbers.
I have both listed.

Thanks for that mate! Good to be clear on that important difference.
You haven't seen the inside, its not the samesaltgrinder wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 6:37 am Hmmm , my 4 stroke KTM has an expansion chamber on the akropovic header pipe similar to that , FMF do the same . Goes faster![]()
Ahhh.....In that case I need to adjust my guesstimate.....Wally wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 6:40 amThanks for that mate! Good to be clear on that important difference.
The 189hp from last time (2,2ltr) was indeed FWHP, FWIW![]()
When dynotime is there, I'll try to make a picture of both whp and the correction they apply.
On my regular dyno, whp and the corrected fwhp are both nicely put in the same graph. The dyno in Germany I have the appointment for is somewhat more rudimentory, allthough pretty accurate and certainly not optimistic in its output.

Hehe! I have seen many times on my former engines that 1 bar of boost (14.7psi) will indeed pretty much exactly double hp, regardless of cam/heads/turbo. Proper(!) tuning, intercooling and no exhaust restrictions are paramount for this though.Clonebug wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 12:21 pm My guess was using my fav calculator at default settings. You might be able to do better.....I'm looking forward to the info so I can plug your numbers in and see where I can adjust to match.
I use that calculator quite often so having good numbers is going to be really interesting.
It will be really interesting once you have that baseline.....to see how much hp you gain at 14.7 lbs boost and beyond.
If you can it would be fun to see what numbers you make at N/A, 7.35 lbs boost 14.7 lbs, 22.05 lbs. and then beyond.
I've been beat up by people that say you can double your hp at 11-12 lbs boost but I still think it's 14.7 to double since it is just atmosphere and beyond. If anything I would think it would take a little more boost to double but it is all dependent on IAT's, Timing and also engine efficiency.
We will see once you do the testing for us.......![]()
