Any experience with Compufire dis-ix in a bug??

I had one on my old 1641 with a huge cam. Without it the motor would only turn 6500k. With it it would pull 8k all day long. I believe it had a vz25 cam. I had 1 go bad when the wires coming out of the top got brittle and broke. I replaced it and put maybe 1k miles on it. I haven't run it in years and to be honest crank fired ignition is the way to go and it can be done for around the same price and you will be way farther ahead in the long run
