Here she is.....
Dads 65, not perfect but a great project! 74,341 original miles on it. Was pretty much thier second car until the 1990's, hasnt run or moved since 2014 when it was parked. Back in 2000 he had a guy offer him a grest deal of $1500 for it, mom talked him out of it as this was her baby!!! Look forward to seeing where the rehab journey takes me. You all will probabaly get sick of my questions(not much of a mechanic---guess its never to late to start!) Any advice is much appreciated!! Thanks all.

Good luck!! First off, I recommend pulling the plugs and spray Marvel Mystery Oil into all cylinders and gently and fully rotate engine (clockwise) a few times. Spray a little more rotate, again...etc. Moving motor like this can help eliminate any scratching, scoring of the cylinder walls. Fresh oil, adjust valves and you should be good to fire it up. Anyone with more advice?

... also drain the fuel tank and lines. Check the fuel pump and maybe do a cylinder pressure check just to be sure. Cap and rotor and do a capacitance check of the sparkplug lines and coil to dist. line and they can start to fail when sitting for a long time.
Also it might be a good idea to replace the oil in the trans.
Check the condition of the brakes, soft lines and brake fluid.
Look at the condition of tires and check the air pressure before driving it.
It looks like you have a great start but now is the time to be sure it is safe before you drive it to keep it looking great .

Tank was dry, replaced engine fuel lines(pretty sure they were original and looked rough) after I figured out what a part was(differnt thread), changed oil and screen. Pulled plugs, didn't use marvel but did use a little engine oil and manually turned pistons over. New hood latch(bungie corded) still can't figure out deck lid spring. Took off and cleaned oil air cleaner, cleaned original fuel filter and put in an online one on other side of firewall behind left rear tire area. Jooked up battery and she cranked over and fired after about 5 mins!! Generator light stayed on though so I ordered new belt?? Next big job is brakes, all around and bleeding the lines, gonna need help for that!! Again appreciate all and any help/advice, this site is great!

One quick thing to do is to do a capacitance check of the braided ground line connected from the torsion housing' shock shock tower to the engine block. They have a long history of causing problems both in US cars and in other cars from around the world. The little tiny braided wires can break or just fail with age and use.

Speaking of your decklid spring I would definitely say it's a later spring judging your tail lights

ok another dumb question.....what side or where is this located? Can't seem to find it(missing?) I could be wrong but I always remember that ground strap from the nose cone of the trans to the pan where the trans mount is

Ok, found it! Still in good shape, pretty sure it has been replaced along the way, no fraying and not loose. Thanks again Nate, your a life(or at least frustration) saver!!!
