So I am having trouble finding or getting any answers(dmv's are closed in Michigan due to covid and ooen appointment is in January) on how to get a title for the 65?
I have the old registration but no title(was able to find at my dads house) and when I go onto the web site to try an order a new title it says the VIN number is invalid, even though it is the one on the registration? It is only a 9 digit number which I guess is why its getting kicked out.
Does anyone know of a site that I can search a title with a 9 digit VIN? or any info that would help, i can't register or even insure without a title
Title?

If you have a prior MI registration/plate, do this -- https://www.michigan.gov/sos/0,4670,7-1 ... --,00.html

Re: Title?
go on the sos website and try for a next day day appointment. they open them up twice a day i think at 8am and noon we've been able to get into the office 4 times in the last month and a half . then if you have an old registration they will print a same day title at any office. we just did this last week on a 73 bug that we bought for our daughters first car and it hadnt been registered since 2003

I have been trying to get into our local office(have been there right at 8am and still has nothing) and they never have any next day openings, not sure why, I will keep trying though, thanks.
