Yes, the VW autostick (1968 0n), the Porsche version being Sportmatic. Neither was very popular.

The Autostick wasn't really an automatic since you had to manually shift it.

Hi Bruce, you are right. I was going by the marketing, which positioned the autostick to the public as an automatic, I suppose to keep from having to explain it was a semi-automatic.

on the other hand, Type 34s were available as full automatics for 68 and 69, but good luck finding any!
