Well that didnt last very long!

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

We always knew you'd be back Herb... so what's the plan for the suspension upgrades?

I'm just going to roll it like it is, otherwise it would be on jackstands for two or three years.

Got some real pix Hoib?

We don't see Bajas or even dune buggies (like I have) on the dunes much anymore. I know of one that is apart (was for sale but I saw it not too long ago in a garage all torn apart).

There was a time when I had an office FULL of Hot Wheels cars. Never collected them when I was young, because they came out when I was 13 and I had already moved on to bigger and better things. But in the 1980s, I worked for Mattel Toys. 1st in Manufacturing Engineering. As part of that, I spent $3 million of Mattel's money in 1 day buying the equipment to make Hot Wheels cars in Malaysia. Then later, I worked in Product Safety where it was my responsibility to make sure that the products (toys) were safe for children to play with. I developed the technology to ensure that if small children, who love to pick up their big brother's and sister's toys and put them in their mouth, swallow those small pieces, like Barbie's shoes, the toy part can be found inside their little bodies to make sure it doesn't do any damage or remove it if it looks like it will. I also had oversight of ALL Hot Wheels to ensure their safety for kids. Like devising tests to launch Hot Wheels into the eye of a rabbit to see if it causes damage to the rabbit's eye when it hits. I suggested that the Hot Wheels Baja Bug and others that came with rubber tires made for potential "small parts" (defined by the Federal government) when little munchkins chew the tires off, but that was pooh-pooed by higher ups.

PS: I have probably near 1,000 Hot Wheels cars now.

Dusty, I will take those old Hot Wheels off your hands anytime! Haha

Here is a gas pump that I made to hold some of my cars... I have only about 10 of the old redlines. :(Image

I’m glad I’m not the only one who likes hot wheels.
That’s a great pump case.

Dusty I’m pretty sure some hippies are on there way to choke you with granola right now after the bunny story. 😂

If they have issues with the test being done, they should take it up with the US Federal Government Consumer Product Safety Commission that promulgated the standard test. I was just trying to comply with the Federal Regulation.

But I had issues with ordering such a test myself.
