Making progress...

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Today was a welding day. The bump stop mounts are done, and started on the new windshield gussets. I removed the windshield for weld access.

Since I had to cut the inner quarter panel out to clear the new coil overs, I made some gussets to support the end hanging out in space.

I made all four windshield gussets out of 11 gage this time. With the two additional ones on top of the frame and the increased thickness it should last better.

I got my trailing arms back from the powder coat shop. They came out looking nice!

Thanks, CWB...

Cleaning parts and taking inventory. Looks like I've got everything to assemble these arms. Cleaned, painted and installed the spring plates. I am running these without torsion bars.

jerk! 😂😂 edit, I didn’t use “Jerk”.

Skid, I know the parts breaking sucks but you have done some nice improvements to your Baja when you got back in it.
