Not exactly; they replace what would normally be the synchro ring, cone and hub. This allows full power speed shifting with less risk of failure and longer maintenance intervals. I still use the clutch, but don't lift on the throttle.

What EFI brand were you running before ?

Before, Jeff was running the Redline 882C. The same as what I have on my baja bug. I need to upgrade to something with better/easier software. The hardware in the old ECU is still very robust.
