Re: New Design Type 4 Heads

Re: New Design Type 4 Heads
There are few still out there, but mostly in Europe except the ones that came here...
Actually, remembering I believe Wally got the 1st one...
The thing is, ALFING will still forge these cranks, I remember some one over there( Maybe Remmelle) having one done something around an 86mm ?, maybe Wally remembers, cost may be a factor for a single forging, I remember some years ago suggesting a group buy @ ALFING to bring down costs, doing like 10 to 20 forgings in a 80mm stoke with 55mm jrl diameters, then from there you could offset grind for more or less stroke to either 2.0" chevy dia or 1.967" 2.0 ltr dia, but no one was interested, I think it was on one of the Forums I was a member of over on your side of the pond, that got shut down for legal issues, but that to was a while ago. I also remember reading, that the Type lV 2.0 ltr 50mm jrl 71mm stroke cranks were finished offset ground from the 1.7 ltr 55mm jrl 66mm stroke cranks.
Since everyone like pictures:
