After 30 years new from Joe Cali - beetle magnetic deflector shield

Post by NextGen »

Hi guys -- want your opinion !!!!!! The Beetle Magnetic Deflector Shield.

I am new to making videos -- it seems to start in the middle, so just pull the curser to the left to start when you see my bug pulling in.

Also my engine was built in 1989 not 1998

V8nate, Thanks you are my first reviewer, this has a greater audience then an Upright Conversion. Like 2% T-4 Guys vs 70% of the rest of the VW cars on the planet that can use the Shields..

OK going to bed happy, thanks and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Simple and does the job. I still have my conversion manual stashed away with parts waiting for another day. Thanks again Joe.

Looks great Joe! Good to see your car and the actual engine that we’ve all seen in your manual.

I have a Cali conversion I did 4 years back and it went well in my 1970 bus.

Bushhoarder, Great to hear from you!! Actually never to count on what the mileage on my bug was till I did the Deflector Shield video. LIke I said in it same engine and went through 3 speedometers. But the first 10 years did 70 miles round trip to Manhattan 22,000 miles -- That is 220,000.

Granted I did not drive the bug that much after but figure another 30 years, ha. Had to be around 300,000 miles and never removed the heads or split the case. That is Crazy, comparing it on average to a T-1 that around 80,000 needs a valve job.

Warning !!!!!! Check your fan belt--- the one in my bug was years old and flew off the pulley. This time by seeing the alternator light go out, I was able to save my engine from overheating and blowing. Which happened to me on my T-1 engine.

I put in a new pulley and belt. Not the one in the photo.

Just did it last week and reminding everyone. Simple to install and can save you big bucks.

Wow HVWs magazine has been doing an advertisement for me and am getting orders from more guys on the west coast. Especially California due to the winds that put a lot of dust in the air.. Wrecking carbs. and engine if you don't replace your filters on a regular schedule.

Here in NY that is not a problem but water and snow are.

Guys the Beetle Magnetic Deflector Shields are selling especially well on the West Coast due to sand and dust storms due to Winds and Forest Fires. Unlike me in the East that worry about Rain and Snow corroding our wires.
