One year later...

Post by dragenwagen »

I have finally gotten around to getting my 1966 Beetle repaired. It was under 4 feet of salt water. The salt water has done a lot of damage to it. The car needs re-wired, The old engine was siezed up, the trans axle also has been damaged. The salt water has eaten a hole in the bottom of the transaxle case. My new engine:

Unfortunately my 1969 Beetle didnt survive the storm.

Very tough. Keep the faith.

Pictures from the NO area are still frightening. Hope things start getting better.

18 years later.

I am older.

My 1969 beetle is long gone, my heater channel website is long gone.

My 1966 Beetle is older.

She rests quietly in the garage to this day in 2023. I still have the old gal, I cannot seem to part with her. My son was 10 when she was damaged, he is 28 now. he is showing interest. he says we need to work on her and get her going. Nothing wrong with the 0 mile motor I had built in 2006. it still has 0 miles on it.
