My Hi Jumper nose cone positively finds all gears, fwd or rvs. Woot! In a sand rail, they go over the axle. In my car, that will not work, so I get to reroute it, but...

Currently have 1 eye working, so what to do?
Start pulling things...
Windshield, mirrors, emblems, tonneau pins and lights all pulled.
Now the interior panels. I think the vdo gauges will work in the new color scheme.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

For what it is worth... an opinion:
Looking at the drawing (good job) and the pix a few posts earlier showing the roll bar, I think you need to add some additional support via. the roll bar being made into a cage. The roof/top of the body spreads loads around in the body and the pan (floor/frame) and a lot of that needs to be considered.

This is actually a 6 point set up with door bars. But... i am going back to cruiser car and not the track.

Even just on the street or highway there is enough bouncing and other things around going on that the body, eventually, may need some additional help. Years ago I was at a local VW junkyard and talking to the owner he gave me info on off-road riding and what can happen to rig's like convertibles' and not just VW ragtops. I have also seen other silly stuff happen and not just to a non-framed vehicle too.
This was just meant for additional thinking about things.

This car has not flexed in 26 years. It has a full ladder set up underneath.

Hopefully it stays that way.
Again, (for what it is worth) what it doesn't have is the "load path" that a top on a car has. I had a Austin-Healey "Bug-eyed Sprite" that the pan started to fail on the passenger side and that was with just normal driving.
The side bars are good for some types of loading) but not always for other things (the load transferring that the top of a car does). Rarely, but not often, I have seen vehicles that have failed, or parts on them fail when the overall loading design wasn't good.
Again, this is not a "do-it" but just info for what it is worth.

Started jamming the car in sealer. Then, after all the sealer is applied, I will sand again.
