Cam shaft
Hey folks I think I successfully introduced myself on the newbie’s page
I’m building a basically stock 1800 T4 engine. After plenty of research I am looking at a 107i Web-Cam grind with solid lifters (all new of course) my CR will be very close to 8.5:1. I have 1.7 914/1700bus heads that are rebuilt and fly cut to fit the 1800-2000cc jugs, pistons are domed and rockers are stock with the 10mm adjusters…My conundrum is I can’t find a Web-Cam 107i grind that isn’t going to take up to 3 months to get to me. I have however looked at CB performance’s Eagle cams …can anyone recommend anything for me regarding this particular situation??forgot to add I will be running HPMX 40s

Re: Cam shaft
The Web 107i is a mild hydraulic cam, works well with fuel-injection. If you want solid lifters a Web 86 or 86a might be a better choice, but it depends on what you want the engine to do.

I liked the 86 grind a LOT!
Max power was at 5300 or so with a plateau like torque “curve”.
