Hi all. AA Performance has 96x71 pistons, part #VW9600T4S71P for sale. Ad copy says “works with 71 to 78mm cranks.” With a compression height of 35.5 would this be considered a stroker piston for a 80mm crank?
Thanks.

No the wrist pin height is wrong, you would need something with approximately a 30mm pin height to account for the added stroke. VW9600T4SB JE

Re: Newbie piston question
I was thinking wbx rods @ 5.325” with 24mm pins. Am I seriously confused, or just normally confused? 80mm crank with 5.325 wbx rods and 96 flat tops with 24mm pins. So.....wit the 22mm wrist pin can I use stock type 1 pistons?
