Miata showbar?

Has anyone tried to mount one of those Miata showbar braces (twin hoop type) to a Ghia coupe? We're building up a Ghia slalom car and this might be the answer to supporting a driver's shoulder harness straps.

I've ordered one for testing. This is for a slalom car, to support the driver and passengers' harnesses. We don't expect a bolt-in. This is a fabrication job.

FJCamper, were you able to get the Miata showbar to work? Thinking about doing something similar. Want to try auto cross in our Ghia but want some better belts besides just the lap belt.
