How true... how true!

My black buggy started out that way... A Baja that a couple of other guys and I had bought that turned out to be pretty close to that picture. 2 layers of house carpet with some kind of glue that I fought with for several years until I used a certain type of primer that wrinkled it up (the glue was put on with a brush and you could see the brush marks when the primer was added and caused the glue to lift. We tore off the body and cut it up so it could be gotten rid of via. (probably not real legal too) a junk yard as it and the reusable parts were rusted out so bad to not be fixable also.

I had to replace the pan halves twice as the first pair were too thin to use on a glass buggy safely and that was just a start to all the work I have done on my black buggy also.

"pictures of tire footprint due to tire pressure changes"

Do a search using this (for some reason after my last computer update I can't copy some pix) and look for the high, normal and low pressure foot print a couple of them show.

One of the problems with the picture it doesn't show how the side wall flex affects, because of the tire pressure changes, the foot print as when turning or going around a corner one side of the tire can lift slightly (or more) and affect the pattern you see in some of the pictures.

Well, it’s been five years since the thread was posted to I think a lounge would be a very good thing where we could talk about off-topic things. I think it would be an asset to shop talk forums. I can barely see the writing as I’m speaking and it printing the text that I’m saying so if I’m making mistakes, please forgive me. I mean everybody’s got Motorcycle lawn mowers Hot Rods Vacuum cleanersI it would be nice to have just one forum where you can discuss anything you need to discuss except DATING and SEX………………. Youn heard me Leatherneck. :So what does everybody think about having a lounge. I think it would be an asset.

As usual, I respectfully disagree. IMO, the only real reason STF has endured for so long is we’ve kept most of the spammers and trollers out and we have stayed on topic. If you want classic aircooled info, there is no better place to get it. The intent has always been to be an information repository. A lounge would be extremely hard to manage for our lone ‘goodness of his heart’ owner/admin. There are thousands of other sites where you can discuss anything you want. Let’s not defocus STF. Just one guys opinion.

Once felt somewhat differently, but I now agree.
Facebook for example is a horrible place to share detailed info, you cannot even format a detailed explanation properly.
...no linefeeds allowed, much less a second paragraph, it basically was strictly designed for text message style interaction.

Im kinda on the fence about this one, I see both sides and agree with both. However Doc brings up a good point, keeping the spam/bots at bay at times can be a PTA I think a lounge would provoke more of them and being that its off topic could be hard to distinguish between a real topic and a spam post.

My 2 cents but Im just the caretaker, you guys set the pace.
