I am running dual IDF 44’s with the CB Performance spray bars. 38mm chokes
.50 idles, 135 main, 175AC, F11. Older Webers with the cam acceleration pumps.
Engine has working fantastic for several years.
I recently replaced one of the carb bodies as one has a cracked idle jet o-ring seat. I used grease to make the seal, but that hack no longer worked.
Now the replaced carb wants larger idle jets, .55. The other side carb idle tunes 1/4 turn off the seat with .50 idle jet. I will go to .45 idle.
So it seems this set up will have .55 idles on one side, .45 idles on the other side.
Is this normal? Does it indicate a Carb issue?
Thanks

Original genuine jets? Seen people find the jet in replacement carbs are not to spec & oversized.
If the good old carb had a hairline crack, id probably look to seal that crack with a thin anaerobic liquid sealer or a smear of epoxy?

Thanks
Likely the jets are after market. I was able to source a Made in Italy carb and will use the jets from that carb. Might be able to fix the crack with JB Weld
