I’ve a bay window station wagon I’m building an engine for (type4) and quite a spirited engine I’m hoping it will be .
Now the the van has a 1000kg payload capacity and I’d say that at times I might just push it .
Having said that I am after a heavy duty clutch kit that I will never have to ever worry about!
We do have options: 200 mm conversion with a stage 2-3or even 4 clutch kit OR do we stick with the 215 or 228 mm standard kits?

Re: Clutch question
I’ve had a standard Sachs 228mm clutch in my 2316cc Westy for several years without any problem and it is often fully loaded. I definitely wouldn’t change it for a smaller clutch. What is your ‘spirited engine’ spec?

Re: Clutch question
A 228mm clutch will be fine with a relatively small capacity engine.
