Wally, been a long time since an update. Would you mind sharing where you got custom cams from, how that process went, and if you don't mind a rough cost to get them made?

Yeah, it has indeed been a while and updates have surely been made, but I wanted to update only when the engine was running. However that is not the case yet, even though I feel I am close. Main thing to assemble and make will be the distribution, for which I should have most parts as well already:

Image
Its actually an older picture with an empty case, apart from a dummy 1700 crank to mount the belt drive on.

Cams have been made, but sorry, I don't want, nor see the relevance to give specifics on costs. I am sure you being in the US (guesstimate) there are enough companies that can do that. Furthermore, the likelyness of you needing also custom cams for a OHC boxer project seem slim to me, so the relevance seems small, to me anyways.
What also holds me back is the unwanted social media discussions that could cause this and which I don't need: case in point: The camshaft company I used had a 'influencer' visit them and he saw my heads there on the bench. Of course he could not resist taking pictures and publish that in a reel in FB, which generated all kinds of remarks and suggestions online. So I am sorry, but I don't mention names let alone costs (to also protect those companies) of parties of companies I use.
Hope you understand.

On the positive side :-) I am trying to revive the old website, where I can give and show some more info and history of the project, for thiose not using FB.
I contacted one of those younger generation blokes who lives nearby and who said he could build that. So far not yet, he seems to need to train himself first in WP as thats what my hosting provider uses, LOL

Well, the website, for those not using Meta products ;-), is finally up and running again! This time without redirection (as it was before in the background) and it has the latest SSL security, so its supposed to be safe to use.
Its still a sort of béta version, but it does have some fresh genuine info on the project origins and some new pictures. The high resolution pics will be up later, but for now it will do (I hope..)

Nice Walter,

Only thing I can say, it looks factory. Thumbs up.

Hope you hear it running soon.
Waiting for the moment to show us.

Get you on the specs, but I hope you will share HP, because I am very intersted.

Nice thing that the site is back up Walter.
Always good to see the developments.
So curious to how the engine will behave. :-)

Cheers,
